Use a knife or scissors to cut all the pieces out. Trying to bend and twist them out is only asking for problems.

You should use a sprue cutter for that.

The modeling part is something often ignored. It's not a lego set, you don't just put the parts together. There's a lot more to it, and that's not part of the instructions.

I've done a few impossible bottles, ships aren't really my thing. I like the ww2 and military things, like tanks, planes, etc.

the big expensive models are not just made out of wood fo your granddad to say he carved it all by hand..

the only thing that comes as 1 peice out the box is the mast, you have to glue all the hull and cannons together peice by peice, and most of the extra detail

before you put the hull together, you have to paint the inside and cannons

its only the 17th century warships that go over the top for retirement age folk to put together

you will need most of your retirement to put 1 together that is close to perfection with no signs of glue or wonky parts
