Having watched the match it would be safe to say they were bad and even with one or two better players in their squad we created so many chances, they would have still got beat 4-0 or something.
Only got worse when Jenkinson got sent off, they probably should have finished with 9 men as Arshavin should have saw a second yellow as well.
Is that a valid reason to concede 8 goals though? There's going to be much weaker teams than todays Arsenal team, who will go to Old Trafford and only concede 1 or 2 goals.
Yes, you can't excuse 8-2 at this level. I guess as an Arsenal supporter it's better to know the state of things immediately than to experience the catastrophic series of disappointments they brought in the last six weeks of last season.
Arsenal has been shit for at least half a year now ... 8-2 is indeed a suprise, but Arsenal losing and losing hard is not a suprise.
Pre season it was already a conversational subject whether Arsenal can luck it this season and stay in EPL or will they be relegated into the Championship. The latter is becoming more and more likely.
