They are limited by their engine, and the current hardware (xbocks). There has been some slight improvement in quality of detail, but it still looks the same.

yeah, on ps3 we just shared a map pack between 5 of us, one of the consoles few perks i guess.. worked out to like £2.something each max

with ps3 you can log into your PSN account on up to 5 consoles maximum, so thats 5 consoles that are allowed to download from your purchasing history..
so what we did is create a 'sharing' account, basically all 5 of us have access to that account and we just used to buy stuff on the PSN store and split it between us, worked very well :)

Google PSN account sharing it is probably more elaborate than I could be at 3am :P

black ops really any better than mw2?

if you like COD multiplayer, you should go with BO because that's actually playable since it has dedicated servers, but avoid the single player campaign imo.

I tried Black Ops on PC with the free MP promotion steam were doing, it was quite horrible, I find black ops and world at war horrible.. The only decent thing about them imo is the zombie mode (which is funner on console :P)

I have BO because I know one of the devs, but I just can't make myself like that game (I was trying hard, but it just lacks the quality of a deep metagame I could appreciate:/ ).

Cod 1 and 2 were good imo, and while I'm a quaker if it comes to FPS games, I had great fun with both at the time.

Even if they dumbed down the game for the console kids as much as possible after the first two, I still liked COD4-5-6 singleplayer and had a few good multiplayer games with MW and also with WaW (Sutherland and Oldman were awesome:D).
MW2 multi was a joke without servers, and BO single was a torture (didn't even finish, done only about 70%).

I don't understand this anymore tbh:( Maybe the devs forgot what makes a game really good, or it's just me getting older and older, but I see each new episode worse compared to the previous one. I try to think as how a young man would, and I also ask the kid here about the COD games a lot, but I reach the same conclusion every single time: "it's getting worse and worse"

Past CoD4, I only play CoD on consoles, but I'd say so.

Killstreak kills don't count towards killstreaks; the guns are more interesting; the maps are better and also more interesting to play; the visual style is nicer; hosts leaving doesn't automatically end a game.

That is all my opinion. Blops has downsides though - Having every game recorded automatically means that there is always some lag because of peer hosting, , and the sound engine seems a little less crisp. Also assault rifles and SMGs take a minimum of 2 shots to the head to kill.. The fuck.

Headshots have been dumb like that since cod4 came out. I never understood it either.

Blops is definitely better than MW2, although to be honest the argument is kind of horse shit vs dog shit. I know which one I'd rather have to put up with, but it doesn't make either one enjoyable.

If I may borrow a phrase from Undertaker12, I would like to say that this game is a sperm waste faggot.

why they keep on releasing this shit every year, it has almost zero difference with mw2, which was only slightly different from cod4:mw....and oh did i forget to tell they had black-ops in between..of which only zombie mode was somewhat fun.

cod is probably the biggest money making and yet the most idiotic game series ever, no wonder they get enough money to do call of duty: jay z shows in LA or something. At least SC2 deserves the money it makes.
