- Make it obligatory for players to actually be playing on a bridge, maybe incorporate a webcam system for proof.

I've been horrendously lagging for the past few months so sometimes I may be wrong when I suspect cheaters (it's like my movement commands are delayed and I'll get pinned with LG and knocked back across the room, instantly dead, at least from my POV).. but this is more true than most people realize, even if it's an uncomfortable truth. it gets reinforced by the general NA community, as these guys are all in some seeming "clique" together.

there are so many of these CA playing, cheating idiots in duel now. if I play rapha, czm, dkt, chance, or ZeRo4, I don't have any problems with their aim, and I can win and have won (vs some of those guys way more frequently than others [rapha]). but I'll go play some random guy like Celestial and get knocked around the map, and all these CA guys think you're just bad, because they have no clue what actual aim is like. they're so fucking awful that they think good players hit 50% lg in every fight, and then all their buddies who don't want to seem like shitties (because they too cheat) will back them up and laugh when much better players rage over that nonsense. it's retarded.

Cheating only happens in quakelive because ID allows it to happen.

the admins who run these tourneys/leagues should know by now who the top suspect players in the game are. i dont see why u think people wouldnt have the power to keep them out of their events / servers if they really wanted to. it would be as simple as a kickban, a blacklist, or just avoiding games with them altogether.

if they wanna hack it up in pubs then who cares? just start a private, moderated server if you're that bent on keeping them out of your games. to top it off, you can always appoint some refs if you have to.

also, in a pub, if everyone in the server felt they were being cheated out of a fair game they could just /callvote kick and lock the teams on the next map.

I'm with ray on this one, despite pubs being unimportant, they are the core of every competitive game, it's where people get to know the game, meet new people (which leads to clan games, scrims, rivalry etc), get sucked into it. Having each and every pub game filled with hackers doesn't really build a good reputation for a game (I'm looking at you, ET). This is what quake needs atm, fresh blood and people willing to try and NOT QUIT the game after seeing disastrous bugs and cheaters.

Without the pubs, or rather, healthy pub scene, the game can't survive long. You're left with your top 50 diehard players circle jerking on private servers.

Not all cheaters cheat that obviously, and even players thought 'legit' caught cheating. So tournaments are NO different from pub in this matter - cheaters are everywhere, and there is only ONE good solution for this problem: id has to provide an anticheat for ql. period.

this is a good point, guys. dutra knows a lot about this subject, as his clan "foo" was banned from many tournaments.

Okay upon review, you can see that the guy was at an awkward angle on his bike. To me, it seems that the guy was losing his balance and was trying not to fall, he didn't mean to push the guy at all.

It wouldn't even make sense for him to push him at that point, he would have pushed him at the earlier curve so others would have harder time avoiding the pushed guy on the ground.

No, his leg on our left moves oddly on the pedal, he was starting to fall, he reached him arm out so he wouldn't fall. Excess force(meaning that bracing himself looks like a push), along with eventually falling himself, occurred because he was NOT pushing but rather it was his weight shifting fully to his arm in the hopes of avoiding a fall.

You can't prove he was wallhacking pushing from this clip.
