Awesome movie, nice to hear some riffage in movies unlike the dubstep/electronic bullshit or the stupid 'lets-try-to-make-this-seem-like-its-so-epic' classical nonsense that's infested every single other movie lately. HUD was a cool plus, no fancy camming, just straight action beginning to end, what a good frag movie should be.

This movie is a perfect demonstration as to why Duel should have never became the mode people focused on in Quake.

I love the fact that, exactly like fragged by gopher, there's sometimes a totally shitty random frag inserted between incredible runs. Way less than in fragged by gopher though. But it gives that *beginning of quake* atmosphere, when people were impressed by air rockets against walls 2 meters away.

With the in-game sounds audio track, this was very nice. Good config, no annoying editing, frags weren't all spectacular but there were some awesome runs. Someone should put up a stream with the alternate audio track!

Ahaha, so awesome. Intro, outro, soundtrack, crosshair and other config stuff, heck even the oldschool scoreboard all made similar to fragged by gopher. So funny!

The frags are maybe even better than Fragged by Gopher though, because the main difference is obviously that this one has not 99.5% rail frags like the "original".

While you're on it, please make "Fisted by noctis" now to have another good copy and then "<3 aerowalk #2", cuz that had the far better gfx settings :x

Ppl always focusing on stupid quad runs in movies and "spectacular frags". What about spectacular overall play? There's more things to consider than just hitting direct rockets, even a single strafe or mouse movement can be impressive if done in an unexpected way that gives you the advantage. That's what separates the best players, not how many players they run into while they have quad.

I think because motion blur usually means that rendered frames are overlapped/blurred together. So maybe they'd have to lift the 125 fps cap and then however many frames your computer.

If an average TDM player made the same kind of movie noone would give a shit because the same frags against weaker opponents would only be half as interesting. It is a good movie because of the high skilled opponents. It's interesting to watch as a div5 tdm player.

The strenght of this movie's frags were noctis' decision making in them. He is fragging tox,fox,link in a row, and many other good players. The frag movie clearly shows what he decides on the spot to get this done, put anyone else in that situation and they would have most likely died, instead it looks like noctis is killing noobs :D

Yeah but it's not necessarily about the individual frags, it's the frag sequences against the level of players in the movie, which is mostly the absolute highest level. Noctis is the #1 player for excellents in TDM. At the end of the day from my point of view, any player can get some amazing midair rockets or whatever kind of kill people think is so amazing, but only the top players can string together multiple frags in a row with such regularity.

I'm not going to argue with the esthetics of the frags as they are in the eye of the beholder. In your example though, it's part of the 'niceness' when you surprise 3 VERY high skilled players and make it look easy....

Perhaps all the frags were not 'eye candy/ defrag' execution, but they are done against the best TDM player we have today in official matches, that to me says more than 2x friends playing 6 hours / day on random pubs and collecting 'awesome stuff'.

This is not to you personal, I just think that these frags deserve at least a 'good job!' if not more :)

Loved the old atmosphere and no 3rd person bullshit. Disliked the music, but it's only a matter of taste, some frags felt average, but overall the content was really nice, especially beacuse all of the frags were selected from high skilled matches . GJ!

I might be biased as I like the music, but Noctis playing is so elegant and well rounded that to me his style defines what I love of quake.

I wouldn't say there is a specific unique point of his game that stands out (besides the obs that he out-damages everybody), but rather is this nice equilibrium of skills, intelligence, and sixth-sense of what is right to do, that makes him one of the most entertaining players to watch.

That's some good shit right there. The frags wouldn't be overly impressive, but considering the opponents they were made on...

I like how it showcases not only frags (which is kinda getting boring, anyway) but also great decision making, situational awareness, teamplay and positioning. I like that. The minimalistic approach also worked for me, it was kind of refreshing after all those flashy, over-edited movies with tons of useless, distracting effects.

The music is not the kind of metal i enjoy, but fuck it, at least it fit in nicely with the gritty style of the movie.

All in all, awesome. Well done, man.

if this is tdm, there should be some explanation of whats going on there. I mean some tactics explanation, because this video looks like some random ffa :/ For example: quad is about to spawn in x seconds, team blue has 3 players covering this and that area, the 4th guy has a special task, let see how it goes, and then the action sequence begins and the viewers go WOOOOW or BOOOOO!

and music without proper bass is not music :P its just noise.....

Frags are on the whole excellent, but i thought there a few where at the end you were like "is that it". It's hard to follow due to lack of editing.

Reminds me of a movie you see from 1998 in RTCW and therehas been more than 10 years progress since then that this seems to have forgotten about.

Crosshair and game-sounds very bad.

The worst music i've ever heard in a fragmovie. 10 mins of the same , no changes in pitch or melody. Just one big relentless head pounding.

I even used to listen to music like this, but you need to break it up in a fragmovie with something with more melody or choose a more neutral soundtrack.

How awfully deluded scores this movie got, name suits it really well. SOME FRAGS, its just a compilation of frags, not a fragmovie with proper editing / config / music. Didnt even watch it to end, was too boring.

+ Quality of some frags
+ Quality of video
- 4:3 instead of 16:9
- Music wasnt synced and thrash like that dont really fit any fragmovies
- No recams
- Cheap feeling, lack of proper config
- Too much frags on same maps
- No epic aim frags, mostly just good dodging and positioning

Actually, the music was synched. E.g. the first rail at the beginning, the first air rocket on purgatoy or the plasma to rocket on dreadfulplace against JCK and dk.

Too many frags on same maps? True, why didn't he use some TDM maps that he didn't even play at the two LANs he took the demos from? :@

TDM in quake is unlike any other game. You aren't isolated to 2 fixed spawns for each team, you have to pick up weapons and armors which adds the resource management to the game, and the standoffs for quad are what can make the difference in a game. Why is every other game with TDM so shit?

it's quite simple, if you compare it to games like cod or bf, they both are too slow and have gameplays based around "hiding" (whine all u want). quake has a very clean interface making it easy to spot things happening both as a player and spectator, unlike games such as ut which are really bloaded with unwanted textures or excessive speed. then u have games like warsow which are too much based around speed making it just a clusterfuck no matter how u look at it.

but thats just my 2 cents..

Absolutely the worst chocie of music ever, can't describe how bad it was. Turned off about ~2 mins.

Watched whole movie when I found the in game sounds only audio track and glad I did. Content was of the highest quality around, with a focus on, er, the content. A lot of recently over edited movies could learn a lot from this - they are over edited to buggery and the content is lost (or at best, hard to see).

This movie has the raw oldskool tdm feel to it.

Definately a movie I'll be saving on the computer.

What are you on about? Of course bad music can make a video worse. The 'raging about something subjective' thing is just conforming with the standard esr style, but letting the music affect your rating is perfectly valid. I don't know what styles of music you can't stand, but imagine an otherwise good video with terrible music blasted over the top of it, and tell me that doesn't affect the overall experience of watching the video.

I don't even know where to start with this one. I could some this video up in a few words but I would to deeply express what I don't like about this video.

Firstly, It's only Clan Arena, followed by the same clans your fragging (srs, dk and whatever else), the maps never change, it's the same old repeated maps in every video, I was highly suprised when you viewed DM14, something that is default.

The music was absolutely crap, it had no rhythm at all, just a bunch of drums banging, The video didn't fit my screen well, and to use the Q3 HUD for QL is an insult to Q3A..

To finish it off, everyone in the server has 4 ping, how often does that happen, it was almost certainly staged.

i like the music even if im listening 1st time lol. But it reminded me like someone is stuck in toilet and cant take a shit off. 10/10 wnna give 11 but cant. And after this i cant see why zeroql make effects or other stuff for me its more nicer like this.
