Pretty cool. Some problems that I have is that maybe those hallways are a bit too long. Really easy to get caught in spam. Also, the theme of the level seems to change depending on the room, kinda throws it off a bit. As for lighting, maybe add some subtle coloring to the lights.

I'd say to make the rooms tighter and closer together and then repost :)

* removed a jump pad and replaced with stairs to make another silent exit.

It still might be a little bit too wide in some areas, but it looks a lot better now (btw I'm not commenting about item layout since I don't really know much about what makes a good layout--plus I don't duel or TDM)

However, the map looks like it would work well in CA as well as 2v2 TDM (if some of the rooms were condensed even more), but it does not seem like it'd work for duel based on the size.

I like the changes. When it comes to that big curved stairway, maybe add a ledge on the longer side with armor shards/5hp health bubbles. I wish I could offer more assistance on the prettification of the map. But Radiant is one of the crappiest editors in terms of workflow, cant do it. I'll stick with UED.

As for the lighting, still needs work. Everything still feels flat.

I would make doors bigger to avoid rocket/grenade spamming into them. Make sure rooms are bigger enough to allow safe shafting

not bad woot. my main criticism is the teleport room. Add some more lights there, bit too dark imo.

edit: just saw your new video. Map looks really good now. Great lighting. The only thing that i can see people complaining about is the narrow corridors throughout, but that will come down to trial and error. Maybe release the map now so people can put it to test. good luck.

What gametype is this for mate?

Was trying to make it for duel, but ill be happy if it works with any gametype.

for duel its seems pretty good, i suppose its a non-rail map?

_woot_, nice work. Good progress. Are you using GtkRadiant? NetRadiant? Any good links for tutorials on getting started? I'd like to try my hand at making a duel map as well. Keep it up!

Also, what are the chances of a great map coming from the community being integrated into QL? Are they open to those kinds of contributions?

you could call purgatory (the tdm map) a contribution by the 2K clan members Yellack and AKM

so they allow for community made maps but of course quality has to be right

I've mapped a ton for Warsow and I've wondered the same thing. I don't think they like integrating out of house maps though because they have to pay for the rights to use it.
