nah i think its the actual joystick mechanism, its sticking from time to time and sometimes downblock gets mixed up with leftblock which is why I not played in weeks.
Just wanna see if its more responsive. yeah I main gief, he has a lot of hard links which need to be combined with precise diagonals, so I think the octo will give me an edge and its what I was brought up on.
Most 2d fighting games requiring various 'circle' motions (half/quarter-circle-back/forward, 360/720) for special attacks and this is the controller most fighting games were designed for in a first place. I'd not say it's an advantage but more accurate input device for such games.
I used to think joysticks were an advantage over pads/keyboards and they probably are for the masses, but I have seen some keyboard/pad players do amazing things, same with toxic, if you saw that guys cfg you would choke, but no one doubts how effective he is.
in fact his robotic style of play might even be defined by his weird controls, and that can be an advantage. Same in SF, good keyboard/pad players are a bit like playing noobs, they do weird things at times that can trip you up because you expect a style of play stemmed from the masses.
didn't even notice :)
i guess it'll fuck up a lot of default configurations and you'd have to reconfigure. hopefully they heard this complaint already from the selected testers in the community and will change it to standard order
