Honest about what? If we're being honest, Tyson was technically worse than alot of boxers and is definitely not the greatest boxer in terms of skill of all time. His competition wasn't great either.

The aura he had though is unmatched by any other except Ali.

The ferocity and intimidation he brought to the ring is unrivalled.

Additionally, say what you say about the Klitschko brothers but they do have an awesome record and currently monopolize all the heavyweight belts for themselves. While Manny and Mayweather seem to be the best current pound-for-pound boxers (also: talk about track excellent records... their fight will be awesome but I can only picture a narrow points win). Despite all four being incredibely talented boxers, I don't think they are of a "best ever" contenders... Now you have awesome technology such as sleeping in oxygen tents, the sort of training and dieting techniques that you need a lot of knowledge (read: degree) to draft, and kids being engineered to be boxers from an early age. Before the eighties all you could do is run up stairs and punch frozen cow carcasses. Back then it was much harder to be the top. (same in football... Pele alltimes best)

None of those achievements matter when you get beaten so badly by an out of form Ali when you are in your prime.

Ali was a different/worse boxer after his licence ban; and Foreman still lost to him in 7 rounds. Foreman wouldn't have been able to even land a glove on Ali in his absolute prime.

People always seem to forget Archie Moore, and more notably, Joe Louis. Louis was just incredible; nothing fazed him. Imagine a humble Tyson and you get the idea. He had the speed, the power and the tactics. The way he could corner anybody and combat their style(s) is excellent. His reputation was marred by his unsuccessful comeback imo, which is a great shame :(
