well evil isnt a rising star realy he have played the game for a long time. He was one of the best russian duelers allready back in 2004 (and probably alot earlier then that) when he attended eswc with cooller, unkind and morphez

Personally I think lotn1k, prockz and reload are the people who has the biggest chance to move further up the ladder atm.

They have I think, but they came to attention very recently as top duelers. p0ni has improved wildly lately imo

Amai is playing for some years allready... Same goes for pavel, evil, agent and even burnedd. Bodzo never did really well apart from the few first QL cups back in 2009. You should watch out more for Reload twist3r and dKsL from Germany, those three could become really troublesome for the Top 16 if they are given some more time.

Tbh, sadly, there are a lot of good/great players with great potential that you just don't hear about because they don't give a tiny little shit about competitive play / tournaments / playing duels, etc. If we are talking about Germany in specific --> abso is a great example.

Nah, he surely has some excellent aim to his name, but apart from that he's just super solid, imo. 2nd best player in Germany but he doesn't give a fuck about dueling :]

bodzo avoids tough fights all over mostly. He pretty much stopped his own development and/or hit skillwall.

p0ni can be quite jaw dropping when he's on form. Then again it depends who he's playing. There are really good players like lotn1k, pavel, agent, evil, amai, prockz ect. but then when they play a pro like strenx in zotac they tend to get destroyed. I don't think quakelive really has the appeal for players to become a pro anymore because of the lack of tournaments with decent prize money. Which is probably why we see the same old players in every tournament.

imo they need to get more experience playing for money. most of them doesnt seem to endure risk as good as the pros do.

well, right now every single player - pro or not pro - gets raped by strenx online.

Burned said he can't go to lans couse of his age. And the problem is sponsors and every lan have almost same top 16 with names i think they hsould make more slots and more players could play. Not top 16 like allways

That maybe what he means by it, but I'm talking more about the people who bang on about having "talent" because there decent at a young age, they think they'll get better as they age, but they couldn't be more wrong.

For sure he was on eswc 2008 masters of athens. If im right matr0x was also on one q4 lan + infinity of polish q3, q4 tournaments.

strongest "new" player are agent for sure - it's 100% , amai is very close.
one level below is pavel , poni, ash_
few level below matrox , lotnik ...
Maybe I forgot some players (didn't played active last 6 months...).
Agent doing great in lans, becose his gamestyle "build" based on strategy not aim mostly, so it's good , or bad day for him, he plays stable, but to reach top4 in international tourney to hard, need more risk and a bit more aim.

for me agent is like new rapha but he plays to safely.

i agree on your list, but pavel has beaten amai & agent in recent zotacs pretty consistently. and if not beaten, then getting further in the tournaments than amai & agent. didn't pavel nick used to be cny? how long has he been playing quake?

he played lans and ru cups. he is good player, he have big ping in europe like pavel, so he don't like to be owned , then he shouldn't be.
