Had them too but haven't compared them to others, as i was satisfied already.

aye, hyperglides do keep the same quality smooth movement for a long time, whereas some like the razer seem to have a top coat thats smoother at first. Plus the decent curve on the edges of hypers makes for next to no wear-in time

sharp edges of different glides have never been a problem, just push them with something so they become curved/thinner on the edges and that's it

if you put on new feet in place of used ones, of course you'll get an improvement, shouldnt come as a surprise. best skatez? idk, any decent teflon will do. most popular ones are prolly hyperglide and corepad. I used both on my icemat, they're the same really.
They last long enough also, if you know what you're doing.
Corepad is slightly cheaper, just get whichever is available to you for cheaper tbh. Or buy teflon tape in bulk and cut it yourself.

Hyperglides are my personal favorite, I tried the Steelseries mousefeet and they have a lot less friction than Hyperglides, but they're almost too slippery. Puretrak has mouse feet too, they're about the same as hyperglides.

i tried to order some puretrak hd glides but their website is a piece of shit. any time i try to check out it just keeps reloading the check out page over and over with no way to advance.

I suppose if you use hard pads it might wear out quickly, but for what ends up being about a dollar to replace who cares? I've been using it on my mouse at work with no pad for about two months now and it hasn't worn out. That's a solid 8 hours a day, too.

Works best for me if you stick a piece right over the existing feet, put pressure on it for a minute or so, and then trim around the edges of the feet with a razor so you don't have any ragged corners.
