Yeah. The first time it came around with Christmas textures is the most fun I've had in Quake Live period. I didn't like the jetpack the following year or the reduced player limit. Should be 32v32!

Huge rune CTF maps. The map Distant Screams appears with a Christmas theme in December usually. That's a terra map.

No one plays those maps, but they were immensely popular at those times.

For that reason they are not a selling point, but can attract more players (hardly but still) and keep current players playing.

I don't care about any of that. I just want a massive amount of players in one huge map for some frag fest fun.
