shapewise kinzu is the best so far

i heard this before, but i dont want a frankenmoues (kinzuadder), im just going to ruin 2 perfectly good mice :)

kinzu sensor probably wouldnt bother you if you're using that high of sens in the first place for a wrist only setup.

Anyone good using the kinzu and doing well?

it's a decent mouse if you don't install drivers, the shape is amazing and if you're ok with the sensor there's nothing wrong with it at all

storm is interesting because its a little shorter then DA which i like, almost as heavy (which is not ideal but is what i am used to know) and a wee bit wider which is fine also, because of the shape itself (so the pinky finger doesnt slide on the mousepad)

only thing i worry is, if i will be able to find all the patches/fixes so it works flawless on my artisan hien hard

Take the Abyssus, or the Kinzu. Storm looks like it is the size of a golf-ball (waaaaaay too small). Off-topic: U used a DA with claw and high sens?!

the only minus with kinzu or abysus is 3buttons only, ive gotten used to DAs 5buttons using it for medikit and walk, would have to relearn the way i play to some extant if i wanted to bind it on the keyboard.


Yes i used a DA with claw and high sens, i was never really happy with the shape, but the sensor is quite good :)

It might be that im relatively oldschool and used to own a logitech wingman (that odd gaming ball mouse back in 1999) was the best shape wise imho

He searches for a claw grip mous that he will only move with his wrist. mx518 and g400 both are big and pretty heavy they are mostly suited for palmgrip, he needs a small and light one.

ye, definitely smaller, but as fair as weight go, im used to the brick that is DA, tho if lighter is better, then i can get used to that as well i guess

if you want to move your mouse only with your wrist it could get quite painful if you had to move 100+ g all the time (that's why I wondered when you said you used a DA before). The heavier the mouse the better it works with palm grip and low sens. At least that's how I feel.

Heavy if you're really weak, for most normal folk it's a brilliant mouse and tracks beautifully. I've been using it with claw grip for ages and I'm not gonna switch anytime soon because some people think it should be used for palm.

Sure rapha used it in q3 and won eswc with it I think.

Not saying you can't use it for clawgrip I only find it uncomfortable so I use my DeathAdder with palm.

Technically seeing no. They are pretty big and they have a high back that falls off slowly to the end of the mouse. Mice that are designed for claw are smaller and have a rather flat back. With a bigger mouse that has a high back you can lay your hand better on it. With a small mouse that has almost no high-back you can control it better with your fingers and only hold it a bit with your back.

Look at the DA: Classical palm-mouse with very high back that falls of steadily. Perfect for palming

In comparison to: Abyssus which has almost no back (ending abruptly) and is small so you can hold it with fingers and only stabilize it with your palm.

I know what you're saying cos i used a ie 3.0 for awhile and that is more palm but the mx5** dips on the side lend themselfs to being claw griped

personally i converted from wmo to abyssus and have never looked back. internal drivers, solid construction, no sens issues, you don't have to overclock the hz. there are jitter issues with the old versions and you might have to play on a cloth pad if you don't already.

Tried to use Abyssus for more than a year but I had a pretty shaky shaft, that's why I got back to the Deathadder. So if you are pretty nervous in matches I wouldn't recommend small mice like the Abyssus.

It's beatiful - allowing you to lift up the mouse without any effort (critcal if you have some carpal tunel syndrome developed by usage of heavy mice over years). And the curvature is not that steep.

I don't remember how my aim was with the Razer Diamondback 2 - 3 years ago when I used it (small mouse aswell). But I think my problem was just the weight of the Abyssus.

I play claw grip, mostly using my wrist only. My aim, especially my shaftaim is way more stable when I've started using the DA, I'd say. I remember losing so many tournament matches because I missed so many crucial shots due to my shaky mousemovements.

Haha sorry! Well I'd try it. There are many other players (cooller, cypher for example) who can handle that mouse pretty well. Just play like 2-3 weeks with that mouse for a longer time per day. You'll notice whether the mouse fits you or not. ;)

Used to play with some ~40cm/360° sensitivity. Didn't help much though. :D

Playing with 1.6m per 360 deg and accel which makes it feel like it is 25 -30 cm per 360 during normal medium speed mouse movements, but allows pixel-precise movement while moving hand really slow (while tracking with LG, for example). Took some time to find optimal accel settings and get used though.

That's still the grip position. Full on claw grip is almost strictly fingers for control.

actually, i'd disagree: 'fingertip' style is strictly fingers, 'claw' is mostly wrist with fingers for small movements if needed.
clawing would mean to me that the knuckles are in contact with the shell most of the time and help stabilize the grip.

There's really no standardized method for defining the grips, but since the wrist is used by grip style, people who use a more finger-oriented grip, while still using the wrist a lot, have more in common with your average wrist-control user.

Nop thats finger grip thats where people hold more to wards the back with their fingers, claw is more forward with you 2 fingers arched(like a claw) over the buttons and your palm barely touches the mouse

Claw does not touch the mouse with the palm at all - it is purely fingertip.

it can slightly touch at times when you flick right, thats why i like bigger mice with a sloped back cos i use high sens so i can claw but use my palm at times to control the mouse movement when i flick,

I have big hands so small mice are harder to control at on flicks. Finger grippers hold the mouse further back which makes its pretty much impossible to have the palm touching

I can't imagine how you ever hit your palm with claw grip. I use the Salmosa and the Krait, and the Razer diagram you linked to is quite puzzling. With claw grip, using the mouse wheel causes a lack of stability (and is useless in most games), so there is no reason to ever use claw grip with your hand that far up.

The more your fingers are touching the mouse, the less range of motion you have, and you will begin controlling the mouse with your wrist. There are certainly some things in-between, but I'd say primarily finger-based control is claw, wrist-based control is grip, and arm-based control is palm.

I'm using g9x without any shell, though had to tape the sensor to make the liftoff lower.. happy with it, used mx300 before and this one is smaller than that.

Guess I use some kind of claw-style finger/wrist-movement with the wrist mostly in the same place on mat.

Spawn, g9x with precision grip. g9x is very heavy tho.

You can also add g300 to the list. It feels lighter than Spawn because Spawn's cable is really thick and heavy. Both mice have the same weight without cable around 85g.
