What mouse do you use?
Is you mousepad clean?
Do you have stable polling rate?

I think this is a mouse/pad issue, not a dpi issue. I play at 450dpi on 1920x1080 at a very low sensitivity and it feels perfectly smooth to me.

Same here, never had (or never noticed) pixel skipping with 400dpi/1080p.
Butter smooth at 1000hz.

If you use a high sens with low dpi, then its probably better to lower your sens and go with a higher dpi, there would be less pixel skipping. Theres some programs out there which calculate how much max dpi you need, but tbh just raise the dpi until you don't have pixel skipping. But yeah don't go too high, depending on what mouse you have, really high dpi settings can be a bit flakey, some are interpolated etc. If you use a low sens, then it shouldn't be an issue and is probably something else causing it Oo

Btw heres some maths you can use to calculate your sens after changing dpi:

Because i notice pixelskipping/unsmooth behaviour too, when i use sens 4.55 and zoomfov 60 with a WMO on a widescreen 1680x1050.

Using around 32cm. WMO. like I said it's mostly when zooming but I can tell a difference in feel going from 1920 to 800.

If the game doesn't scale the sens according to the zoomfov, kill those fucking coders with a rusty hunting knife, rape their dogs and burn their houses.

If it's enough dpi with your normal fov, it'll be enough once scaled ( and enough = anything under and a touch above the recommended dpi, you're not a robot, most of the problem is in your head )

yup, its definitely noticeable if you're using a WMO or any mouse that's using a low DPI. if youre using those high resolutions, you probably need to up your DPI to compensate. this is why i play at 640x480 on a 1080p monitor.

Am i the only one who dislikes high dpi? i set my mx518 to 400, i use high sens and having the dpi makes the mouse uncontrollable with high sens and i dont like low sens

Depends on the sensor, sometimes they feel weird, sometimes the performance isn't as good ( though the sensor on the 518 is solid and the only difference is in the speed you'd have to reach for neg accel to kick in which is not going to happen on high sens anyway . )

i'm kind of holding back from getting used to 1920x1080 vs 4:3 anyways. I feel like my aim severely suffers.
