new generation is so funny (im talking bout results of voting). mb someday they will understand that cpma was the worst in quake history, and that mostly all old maps getting retarted alrdy. but they just playing over 5-10 years, so how they can know? ;)

There are few new tdm maps sitting at id office for almost year now. Frs map still isn't ready afaik though.

the map is 99,9% done, it was already at 100% but we had a slight change thats being done now. some good out of the delay from id's side. i cant say when its going to be in but sync said he'd be happy to add it as soon as he's allowed to, no clue when that is though :(

and i doubt its going to be popular at all, the gamenplan from the beginning was for organized teamplay and atleast trying to slightly diminish the advantage from pure aim. its a stark contrast (atleast in my mind :D) to the ffa 24/7 style of maps that are so popular now

many old players love them, for new players they aren't old

for the new players its annoying to play against old players who have an experience advantage of countless games on said maps

So who is more likely to learn e.g. "a mix of dm14 and osp5" more quickly? Experienced tdm players who mastered similar maps or new players who have to start from scratch? The decrease in skill gap is only temporary.

Every map can be played as tdm, or can be played as ffa. Depends what team/players is/are doing. Its wrong saying dm20 is not a tdm map.

and it depends on skill..
if u play osp5 as ffa u will lose vs team whos playing with lots of teamplay

lack of new maps? purgatory, dp, hidden fortress are all relatively new maps and still allow really interesting games. Compare that with aerowalk, ztn, t4 etc. those are OLD but in terms of tdm maps we can be pretty happy atm.

I played pql a few times and although I can "manage" the movement I'd rather see standard movement in ctf cups.

Also I'd like to see some Reflux games. I havent had the chance to play it because nobody wants to play it ;/ It does not look like a bad map though - maybe remove the bs and replace it with regen/haste combo or w/e.

TDM only got 4good maps, 5th map i had to vote for osp 5 : ||
CTF got alot of good maps to choose from
Why reflux is not being played is because of the fps issues, else i would have voted for it.

i dont get why people dont like osp5, its the best tdm map here, but people dont like a challenge and rather ffa a bit instead of really play tdm

quake veterans cant see further than their wcp9 is.

In TDM all of the maps were tried out in different ql cups before, nothing new to test.

Edit: not saying we can't/shouldn't change maps.
