That's very true. I had a razer arctosa, which only lasted 1 year. Then the rubber knob under the quake forward button was broken. I have this one now: http://www.microsoft.com/germany/hardware/gam...fault.mspx
- higher quality buttons than the arctosa
- whole keyboard anti ghosting
- best value for the money
I have one, RDFG is slowly dying out, the keys letter are slowly fading and the keys feel so much less responsive in comparison to the numpad which I barely use , and besides that space bar is utter shit.
EDIT: I'm talking about the tarantula
I used to have one ages ago and it was actually nice to use. I used it for a few months until I lost it in a bet game :(
Been trying to find one for quite a while now but no luck.
Why dont you just move on? I mean, the Tarantula wont lasts forever and it anyways not being made anymore (discounted 2+ years ago) so you will have to pass all this story again.
The Microsoft sidewinder x4 suppost to be a good one, why dont ya try it out instead of looking for a discounted-keyboard?
Also, as user of the lycosa for 2.5 years now (scissor switchs, as the tarantula's one) I would say that the rubber-domes's keyboard are alot better, or get yourself a mechnical RED one, but its pure personal preference tho.
I do have a Zowie Celeritas and it's nice but for some reason I always liked how the Tarantula felt when playing. My urge to find one increased even more after seeing Cypher using it very recently.
