I've seen posts that claim this thing was virtually input lag FREE and a real replacement for a CRT and I've seen posts claim this thing is worse than its predecessor. Let's wait and see I guess.
I have one (as well as the 2233rz). It's obviously not as good as a CRT but it is decent for an LCD. You won't be disappointed. That being said, in my opinion you should go with a CRT because they are cheaper and superior.
Thanks for the reply. The thing is that I would like to use it as my main monitor, for gaming obviously, browsing and even watching films so a CRT won't fit the bill. On the other side, this monitor goes for about 300€ and that is not a small investment either. So I would like to be sure that it performs appropriately in every aspect. I have read some reviews and they all seem to indicate that is worth buying but I would like to know ESR opinion also.
I think it's quite similar for gaming, with the BenQ having a slight edge. The build quality on the BenQ is much nicer though. It has a good stand which can go up and down, and it can be adjusted to a lot angles unlike the 2233rz.
afaik benq got ghosting cause of badly implemented overdrive which is in fact more influental than some input lag or anything else, 2233rz is better for gaming imho
