I would like to quit quake live. I have found this difficult to actually do. Are there certain steps one must take to do this? Thanks for your help and support.
1. Rent 2 stealthy MH-60 choppers
2. Rent seal team 6
3. Ask them to come to your house when you least expect it
Rest is taken care of. Your pc is bullet ridden, bathed in accordance with its binary religion and buried at Atlantic seafloor next morning and you have successfully quit quakelive.
if you played semiserious and built your own nifty preferenced cfg from scratch and got very much used to it, and you deleted, the cba factor could be a good start
3, Play gametypes you don't like.
I played insta on a DE server today, where I absolutely never hit anything with the RG anyway, and I find insta utterly stupid as well (sorry for the fans).
I was very sad after that game torture, if I could do it for a week, I would uninstall for sure.
no, i'm not implying that. you can infer that its necessary to know where the file is. if he doesn't, i'll gladly tell him. also, what does '^' mean and why are you leaving out nouns???
Play League of Legends. I started playing it when I got free LoL runes when I ordered my Abyssus, so I figured why not.
It has a much better community, moderators that have above 70 IQ points, and it doesn't have a corrupt support system where the first thing they look at is if you have Premium or not.
Plus, many Quake Live players already play LoL, so you can play with some friends.
I had a big problem with dota a while ago, simply try and get out and do different things, keep yourself occupied. After a week or two I didn't even really miss it anymore.
But then dota2 came out and now I'm fuct worse than before :(
You don't quit. You just stop playing, this will be automatic when you're really tired of the QL-crap (no ac, no updates, no X). As a replacement you can start playing something else League of Legends, Counter-Strike, other Quake (qw, q2, q4, q3 cpma/edawn). I'm lucky to have a mate I play Q3 with (whenever I got the energy and time for it) and a few mates I play LoL with. You cannot force yourself to quit something, you need to grow out of it. Time heals.
Just stop playing. That's it. It's as easy as that. Just consciously choose not play it. It's not a physical addiction. If it helps, think of how shitty everything about QL has turned out to be and how it keeps wasting it's potential over and over, that pretty much did the trick for me.
1.find a hobby-start developing yourself further-read books, learn stuff, maybe pick up a new language
2.play a different game
3.go outside, sports perhaps
4.start a cult
5,easiest is too just find a new group of friends who arent quakers
6. fall madly in love with a girl *or a boy , what ever floats your boat :)
I agree it's more fun, but only because Quake 3 was the best game for me personally. Having said that, games like League of Legends and StarCraft 2 are much better games than Quake Live, and League of Legends is intolerable for me.
I think if you want to quit gaming the easiest way is to start exercising. When you have free time go run for an hour, do some killer workout at home such as pull up, push up, crunches, squads etc....
whatever you choose to do the problem isn't quitting or the addiction, it is the void quake will leave in your life. if you don't fill that with something else you will always return.
those idiots are struggling to climb a hill that any family 4v4 would chew up with ease, too stupid to figure out they don't have enough weight for proper traction.
I want to point out the video was a sarcasm. I too find it funny, pointless, and way over done. But the point you bring why they can't climb the hill are totally wrong. Lighter weight is always an advantage. ALWAYS! No argument. And these tyres should have advantage over the traditional 4x4 car tyres, but I have feeling they pump too much psi to get more "fun" out of it. Also a little throttle control wouldn't hurt.
This video just tops up what I explained. See how he moved through the ice surface without any more weight. Now if that 4x4 was lighter he probably wouldn't even need the 4x4 enabled. It's all about tyres! Think about it. How do ice rally cars race? Do you think they add cement bags in the trunk and not tell their secret? http://youtu.be/BDrjP94bJIY http://www.pettersolberg.com/html/wp-content/...ustom_.JPG
you missed the part where he got out of the slippery shit by adding 200 kg of cement in the trunk. Im not saying that it's the only thing you can do to achieve traction but if you're gonna rev a 600hp monster like an idiot you either get better tires or add weight.
I remember last winter when my mother got stuck in her RX8 on ice street up a hill. People left their cars and told her not to bother because they couldn't even do it in a FWD. So I went there and the first thing to do is not go inside the trunk to add weight, but take my tyre valve tool and let all the air of the tyres down. The look on the face of people watching that sporty RWD car with 235/40 Eagle F1 tyres climbing like a champ was priceless. Sure the tyres had like 5-9psi (flat) but few air pumps and it was back to normal.
The first thing when you drive on snow is this. Narrow tyre 155-185, plenty of thread (even if its not soft compound) this will help for snow, and tyre studs which will help for ice.
