i wanted to ask if cpma is somehow noobfriendly ? Downloaded it already some months ago ... but there are almost no servers or they are password protected.
So i startet somewhere i could play ending up in the gammode clan arena. But its total chaos and its hard to learn the real movement there because all ppl are rocketjumping all the time.
Btw. that trickjump mod didnt help me ... because there is almost no map i could even finish :D at some obstacles i just die trying ... screaming "wtf" every 2 seconds.
Later i noticed that if you want to play stuff like ctf ... you have to join irc because they are making up their games there. But im not sure if thats a good idea ... i would kinda ruin the match for my team so ... where could i start playing ?

stuff like that. once you get the hang of air control then move in to the pick up channel. I think it's #cpmpickup (someone correct me if i'm wrong plx), although I don't know how active that is at the moment - there should be a campgrounds only CA server that is usually populated.
On the other hand you can just play maps offline on cpm and get used to movement that way. CPMA is not particularly noob friendly, if you fail to get a grip of movement or quick weapon switches then people will catch on and be less inclined to play, so practice a bit before you join the pickups :)
