People don't like it because they are bitter about not being selected to participate in a very limited beta. People don't like it because their avarice was not quelled by a premature release. Diablo III faces all the typical reasons games are disliked before they are available to play. The vocal people that you hear about, starved for attention, are a minority. Hundreds of thousands, maybe even millions, will play it. The game will be fun. I'm looking forward to the release.
I heard a lot of people don't like the direction Quake Live has been going the past few years. How has that been working out for you?
It was just an answer. I like the Diablo series because it's a fun pastime for a group of friends. I have three particular friends waiting in the wings for a sleep-deprived weekend of dungeon crawling and shenanigans. That's mainly why I will play it and why I know I will enjoy it. People can form their own opinions for games they haven't personally experienced in full, but that won't impact my opinion of the game or my reasoning for playing it. The Quake comment is a mixture of spite for the development team and badinage for you. Don't try to change me, man.
If the whole game consisted of the one hour content available in the beta, I wouldn't like it either. Good thing it's only the very beginning of the game. Fret not, for hundreds of thousands will enjoy it in your stead upon release.
