Have you ever tried one or are you just guessing? It helped me. I have one identical to the 4th picture (only color is different) and my wmo feels almost wireless.

Does this happen on every WMO? How is this even such as to be!

I have a WMO, i just put something on the cord, or place it around my monitorstand so it wont pull..

Around the monitor stand is what I used to do aswell but it still wasn't perfect. Does anyone know if they are any wireless mice/if it's technologically possible to create wireless mice that have the same functionality?

Well the WMO cable doesn't bend freely. So in your example it would have more resistance when moving to the right than when moving it to the left. I also have a smaller desk so that the effect is more noticable.

oh well, i have an as good as new WMO laying around here, which has such thin and flexible cable of the DA. :))

Fortunately the WMO isn't really all that good as it is hyped to be on this site so I'm doing just fine without it.

Just take some scotch tape and attach it to the desk, simple as this...

This. Exactly what I do. I actually do this with all my mice.

Srip the cable, it's easy and it won't break. Even if it does, you can replace the cable easily with another one.

True, you do need to have a soldering iron but it is fairly straight forward if you do. It's really annoying that they soldered that in.

Indeed strip the cable, it's easy as long as you're careful. You won't regret it either, mouse feels wireless after it's done.

You're not quite getting my problem :-)
Because the cord has been wrapped around my wmo while it was in its package, it has got some weird twist at the beginning of the cord. So the cord touches the ground at the beginning of the cord, which hinders my mousemovement.

have you tried the legendary trick to get rid of all cable twists? Just hold the wire and let the mouse fall down

I bought a Mouse Bungee shortly after changing to WMO and I haven't had any cord problems ever since, and I will definitely use the bungee for future mice regardless of cord type. It did cost me about 27 euros which I think isn’t too bad.

You must be kidding. An improvised mouse bungee can be made with standard household objects!

I wasn’t able to create an effective solution with my household objects. First I tried to just place something on the cord like I used to with my previous mice, but the cord would get stuck behind the top edge of my mouse pad. Then I tried attaching the mice to a little box with the cord going upwards (creating the cord-in-the-air effect a bungee makes) but it wasn't working very well. I then bought the bungee and I have never had any problems since.
