Just use the C++ preset.

C++ preset is shite for regular cfgs.

C++ preset is good enough.

Yeah, with the relatively small amount of time I spend using a text editor, and the simplicity of most of the things I need to use it for, it seems likely that I'd spend more time learning to use it efficiently than I would save during the rest of my oh-so-efficient text-editing life :)

i used cfgGen a bit for q3. there is this nice group cvar thing but i remember it eats some cvars up, they vanish.

I have never encountered vanishing cvars during the 6 years I used it. :/

Sounds cool, though I'd rather keep to the one program, and not have to install that. :)

Any screenies or anything with it? :D I like notepad++ quite a lot with EmSixTeen's cfg. Im curious though but I have to go school atm can you post any screenies or anything? Wanna keep fresh just formatted

One of the first few stuff I install after a new Windows.
It is simple and has many useful features (like different searches, showing line numbers, you can open multiple *.cfgs at a time, you can make blocks and add comments to them, built-in help, console commands for Quake 2/3, etc.).
Works perfectly with any kind of *.cfg.
One of the best little utilities ever. ^^

whats the problem with testing it in 1 minute? the tool groups cvars (r_ com_ etc) and this is really nice.

nice font, but overall notepad++ is better imo
