Drugs are great, I used them for what they were and now I'm older and gone through that phase and am addicted to other things, like hobbies, books and my work.
Will I do drugs in the future? Maybe, or probably I suppose, if the occasion occurs.
I suppose the real question to ask is, do you have a life? And if not, do you want one?
If you prefer the drugs to this, I do not care. Go ahead, just make sure you don't fuck up anyone else's life.
why does drug use equal with not having a (normal, socially accepted, etc.) life for you? i remember some of your old journals, isn't it mostly down to what kind of drug one uses and the extend of the usage?
you wrote about weed and shrooms mostly iirc, which do not play along with having a 'normal' life, true, but there's so much more and i happen to see more on more people using drugs to be able to get through that kind of 'normal' life you are speaking of. those who do so depend on uppers a lot of course (and it's something i find incredibly stupid for various reasons), but your generalization seems odd to me.
I have done nearly all mainstream drugs except from the really dangerous ones.
Anyway, from your answer it sounds like you agree with me. Yes, if you drop a pill every weekend or have a line of coke once in a while while being a professional and just living your life, I think that it's completely fine.
What I was talking about is addiction. You can't be addicted to something like coke (I would even say weed), and still have a real life. It isn't an interest or a hobbie, but rather takes away from your real interests, which you may have forgotten in time.
My throw-away suggestion that I was "over" drugs was probably badly worded, what I meant was that I find other things more interesting, but by no means do I think they are bad or should be illegal.
i should've written something about addiction aswell, can't help but agree :/
addiction not only takes away your time and energy but also seems to turn people into self-absorbed egocentrics, especially with coke and other uppers.
The mechanics of addiction are different, it has jack shit to do with the substances involved, it is about the mentality and/or life situation of the person involved. Come the next week, If a person has no better thing to do than to get high on substance X, he/she will do it.
most people don't. most drugs give feelings that nothing else does. chemically conditioning your brain is your own personal final solution after which nothing really matters, might as well drive a nail through and be done with it.
taking a lot of amphetamine every weekend will turn you a very agressive but powerless prick on weekdays... do it once a month or every day the choice is yours!
anything can be addictive and anything taken to extremes has negative effects...
therefor if you have self-control anything in moderation is fine, be it bayerfarma heroin/cocain, lsd , mushrooms etc. :P
i did, actually. i couldn'd believe it myself. the only explanation i got is that what this person was trying to tell me is that s/he quit after a while of moderate use and termed this 'casual' :S
I have done heroin casually, snorted china white and smoked brown, that is. The comedown isn't any worse than say, coke or speed, you might sweat a little, but that's about it.
Life is a disgusting and a horribly unbearable nightmare, and when you take drugs, you can forget that for a short period of time.
The problem with drugs is that they are pointless because they do not affect "life", only you:)

I really feel sorry for that guy tbh:( Soon as they lock the door of the cell on him from the outside and leave him with the other detainees.....well, no one wants to be in his position, me thinks.
Well, they handcuffed him, which have turned into a nightmare probably less than 3 minutes, let alone the rest what he went trough inside the precinct. I don't think they have separated cells for each individual detainee like how they do in prisons, but we will never know.
