Any comments are welcome, I know they are REALLY long guides. We just decided enough procrastinating and just to get on with making some, so we did them with no script or planning.

We will probably do the same for the remaining TDM maps and then might consider doing a more refined, scripted and edited version 2 of each guide.

Actually how do I make the links bullet points? How do I map make the supporting image the Level Up TV logo?

These videos are way too long. There is some blockbuster movies shorter than the dm20 guide! Support the content with prerecorded speeded up videos, pictures, etc whatever that makes the explanation shorter... Break it into parts and put timestamps on it, i.e. 0:00-0:20- item setup, 0:20-0:30 important positions with X weapon...etc.

For someone already know the basics and just looking for picking up some useful tips here and there its way too long to worth it sitting through. For a noob who knows absolutely nothing, its way too much in one piece to pay attention for.

Im not sure if the dm7 guide was meant for test reasons, but in the future you should focus more on the maps being played in competitions / pickup because this kind of knowledge is only useful there.

Yeah I agree, we will probably aim to do a version 2 which will be much shorter and to the point. Problem is we just enjoy talking about this stuff :)

We will do all the playable TDM maps, so even if they are not in the current pools.

45 min to 1 hour tutorial on the maps is fine imo! however 90 minutes might be a little overkill. great idea and keep the videos coming! thks:)))

The length of the guides doesn't bother me. I think what you're doing is great and will help motivate new players going into TDM. Looking forward to dm14!

needs to be shorter, specially casuse your voices are really monoton sometimes...and a simple granade spam on the shaft room should not be 10 minutes to discuss. but the whole idea is good, looking forward to purga and maybe some ctf maps.

Well the monotone element is related to the length I guess, but I would generally say we have a good level of expression in our voices. Always something to be improved though.

Some elements take longer, but need to be emphasized about the importance of a position. It would be shorter if scripted.

Its a good guide, A very long guide(Could be done in 10-20 min). It covers pretty much everything there is to say about dm20, so good effort.

The length should be shorter I think when scripted, and broken into sections. But if you love TDM (maybe just quake) you will always enjoy long chats about these kind of things.

This is brilliant btw. Quake needs more content like this.

Well 5 mins research tells me I'm wrong about Hidden Fortress at least. I always assumed this map was played only because there weren't many tdm maps in QL.

p.s. Can anyone tell me why I can't bloody login?

DM7 guide was requested because its up for vote in the new ClanBase season. dm20 is the most picked map. We will do them all though so it doesn't really matter.

only watched about 20 mins or so of the hidden fortress video. (retribution is just a shit map imo so didnt bother with that :) ). great stuff.

i dont think the content itself is slow or boring, so my suggestion for future videos is to split it up into discrete parts each with a theme. like why you might think lg/ya/mh area is key to the map or how the rail plays out differently on dm20 as opposed to most other maps because of the item location etc etc.

i think the next logical step would be to utilize the video part a bit more and use like segments of demos to demonstrate the points you make. might be way too much work tho.

anyways great stuff, looking forward to more of the same.

I agree totally. The main reason we did it like this, is so it actually happened. If we waited to create an edited version, scripted and with demo examples, the reality is it just wouldn't happen.

o also, didnt see the entire video but did you talk about why the 2 of you like dm20 so much??? and i would also like to see something from you about what you think about the state of tdm and possible gameplay changes (especially considering the update coming up). i think you mentioned in the beginning of the dm7 video how you think there should be more health/armor in general on the maps. whats ur opinion specifically on tiered armor in ql tdm and why it was mostly ignored by the competitive community?

I think we discussed some stuff like that after retribution for like 2 more hours, but i didn't record the vod online. Had to be there!

We can maybe do some more discussion on the subject again.

I have to say time flew by while checking out these videos.
Great in-depth analysis of possible situations, tactical input and so much more great stuff!

People are complaining about the length of this videos, but didn't have any problems with it :) You two have enjoyable voices to listen to (one of the reasons why your streams are so coveted by the community)

I don't think so, but it could be great for new players :)
Unfortunately I don't think the ctf community has anyone as cool as disrepute and nvc.
