I really need a monitor that can run 16:10 (black borders at the sides) since i always played like that in any fps games. Unless you guys think it would be easy to change to 16:9.

meh, took me two hours or so to adapt when I switched. but that's me. are there even 16:10 120hz monitors still?

Has 13 ms input lag per TFTCentral, maybe not bad but there are probably lower..

prad says that it has 4.9ms in 120hz mode.

It got nice input lag, but badly implemented overdrive ruins it

you don't need to use overdrive, the monitor is fine for games (imo). i have given up on going against these so called "reviews", people will believe whatever they want anyway ;)

BenQ XL2410T and XL2420T both support 120Hz and are 1920 x 1080.

ViewSonic V3D245 is 120Hz and 1920x1080 too I think.

I got ViewSonic VX2268wm. It's 16:10 (1680x1050) @ 120hz.. I also play with black borders.

Bought myself a 2233rz yesterday and not even close to a CRT ingame feeling. With non native reso everything in game looked blurry and rly shit. And cant do native res on my PC cause by then i lose too much FPS. But on native res it was looking very nice, colors, quality textures etc. Still 120hz feels nice but not as smooth as on a CRT in moving around ur mouse etc. Textures and stuff dosent follow and it looks more abit of blurry by doing so. Maybe this has something to do with the 3ms the monitor has? Anyway,

But to ur question. There are alot of reviews and shit and what ive been reading is if ur gonna buy a new good monitor out there today it has to be the new benq xl240T i think the name is.

LCDs can never look like CRTs, even with 0 ms response time they would still look kind of blurry compared to CRTs because they are sample and hold displays (i.e. they draw the new frame on top of the older one while CRTs just display the new frame on top of nothing at all, hence the eyestrain with low refresh rates).

Nope, Dual Link DVI can do much more than that.
GPU drivers and their TMDS modules are what's limiting us (because they don't let us push the pixel clock high enough).

This monitor http://www.overclock.net/t/1225919/yamakasi-catleap-monitor-club has been pushed to 130hz @ 2560x1440 (but using Powerstrip, a GTX 680 etc and it's difficult to get it to work in games).

Dual Link DVI's only true limit is the copper. It's not twice the bandwidth of a Single Link DVI.

I have one , its glossy but it a definate upgrade on the 2233rz (which i also have)

I bought the S23A700D.
I'm really happy with the way it performes only bad thing is that it doesn not run 120hz @ 1680 x 1050 but i just took a few days and some fov tweaking to get comfortable with 16:9

I've recently bought this lcd and I love it. It feels as good as crt to me (inb4 tech-nerds). Paid only 150eur which makes me love it even more. ;)

What do you think about 24" ACER GD245HQbid?

It IS a 3D monitor, BUT NOT 120hz. It uses some kind of glass technology (i dunno), that makes you think that you see a 3D image. Anyway, it doesnt have 120hz, so not worth buying it.

Everywhere I looked it said 120HZ even at 1920 x 1080

There are several ACER GD245 models, some 120hz, some 60.

Since many shops don't know what they're selling be careful :) but if it's the 120hz model then it's a good one (decent default colours, responsive etc).

Preferably 1920x1080
