i wonder why these ozone pads r rarely mentioned here and in overclock.net. r they that bad compared to qcks?

these pads looks very simmilar to each other (the surface itself) and the sized are almost exactly the same, seems like these pads are from the same factory or something.

QcK+ or QcK Heavy. Period. You'll be more satisfied in the long run.

Yeah, had both. Ozone's material quality is rather crap.

90% of the mouse and mousepad reviews on the net are complete bullshit - this is a fact.

Even if he's a writer at overclock.net, it means nothing.
Besides they don't test the stuff for longer periods of time (I'm not talking about days here).

he said he used qck and he has been using ground level for a year now.

I have a good friend of mine. He asked me what mousepad he supposed to buy (Earlier, he didn't know what a good mouse is, I might say, he didn't even care. I persuaded him with serious effort to buy a WMO ('cos it's really good and also very cheap). He was quite against it, but now he just loves it.) for the price of ~20 $. He doesn't need 45 x 40 cm or so, beacuse it's too big (his table would easly support it though), but something around 35 cm width would be nice.

I told him various good choices like SS QcK Heavy, Razer Goliathus Standard, Corepad C1, fUnc F.30R-14, etc.

Finally he bought a Thermaltake Dasher (lol) just for that price. He thinks it's good.

In fact it's a piece of crap, I would never pay more than ~3$ for it; the surface was like WTF at first glance. A huge wave on the right part of it. He said that it's like that for about a week, nothing he did could flatten it. That was the first huge disappointment.
After I palpated it a bit, I thought "Wow, how long will it last? Nevermind that, what is this "smooth" feel? Like a cheap T-shirt."
But the trial of the pudding is eating, so let's test it with a Razer DB 3G and the actual WMO.
I was shocked in the first minute; ridiculously high LOD, which made nearly impossible to smoothaim or take precise 90 / 180 ° turns. It was like that with both mice. I gave it an afternoon, but after that time, it was the same as for starters; crap.

Long story short: he thinks it's good, but it really isn't.

You might say, that I'm in the same boat, because of my thoughts, but as I mentioned before; your money, your choice. ; )

the thing is, this guy has had a qck and hes said that qcks tend to loosen their glides a bit faster or sumthin like that.
