Interesting.

It was rather interesting even if it's merely a confirmation of what most people on this site already knows. Sure it was done in 2008 so it was probably more relevant back then but I have the feeling that it wasn't exactly breaking news at the time either.

The little historic about arcade gaming was good and I feel that maybe the rest of the documentary was a little bit predictable, but again it was done 4 years ago.
The addition of Guitar Hero was in my opinion really poorly done, they should have either treated it as seriously as the other games or just cut it from the movie entirely because as they did, it was more some kind of filler than anything.
I don't really know if focusing so much on Lost Cause was really a good choice, apart from showing that esports isn't exempt of racist idiots like you would find elsewhere I don't really think it provided anything valuable and it kind of gave an odd "real tv" vibe to the documentary.

Also one my main problem with the documentary is how blatantly biased it is, which is probably the worst thing you could do in a documentary. Even if is the CPL is a shitty organization run by a greedy bastard, the least you can do is actually try to get the greedy bastard to defend himself, especially since he was interviewed at least 3 different times throughout the movie.

Some interventions were a bit surprising, like the actor from Pure Pwnage, since you can wonder if they are really relevant to the esports world.

But well you can see FATAL1TY do the whole "SLAP THE FOUR GRANDS CHECK ON THE TABLE" routine so it's always a plus.

your right some bits didnt fit together. maybe the creators said, lets do it fast.

i liked the side story about lost cause. i just asked myself back then why is he the only black person there, or one of a few. this is america. i mean everybody with talent can take part in esport. once i saw a livestream from a usa-beat em up-console tournament with many ppl from "ethnic groups" (dont know the pc word). so i think it just depends on a community and scene.

believe me you couldnt grab cpl munoz, he was rhetorical fit, he just avoided clear answeres to a question like politicans do. to see him defend himself wouldnt give you much.

when you a esport manager and i ask you why my check hasnt arrive, what would you answere :) "its definatly coming, its not me doing these things, im hearing that the first time, oh i will speak with my stuff". its always the same. and often there was/is this contract for players to not speak about the money. if you speak about it openly "my check hasnt arrived from xy" you break contract and maybe will never see the prize money.

While I know that it would have probably be meaningless to ask Angel Munoz these kind of questions because as you said he would have probably just answered some typical bullshit, I still feel that it was a bit strange to have like 15 minutes dedicated to show how awful he was and how his organization was almost a giant scam without ever trying to provide some counterpoints or some solid proof.
Especially since the first part of the documentary is rather gentle with him, describing him as good guy doing great things for the esports scene, so it was a rather surprising turn.
