is it possible to have hud elements drawn/disabled via command? i.e. how you can have a "zoom hud" in quake live

yeah I have that and whatnot, what I'm asking about is whether or not its possible to toggle certain hud features via a variable ingame
i.e ch_q4zoomxhair 1,0 that is possible in quake live if you use the q4 zoom hud

i don't think so, although i have altogether spent about half an hour editing cpma huds in my life so i could easily be wrong

I don't understand your question. It seems self-explanatory - hud_hide StatusBar_ArmorCount.
