The weather does help. a good 20 degrees Celsius today here in Denmark.

The update however was massively positive from my perspective, and I am thoroughly enjoying the new gamemodes, aswell as duelling too combined with the improved hit registration. I'm shafting like never before, really.

Yeah this is actually really nice. No longer will a full premium server get shut down because the owner wants to sleep or whatever.

this will be good. as a pro user I can now create a server for a game mode people might want to play but can't unless a pro user makers it (like domination or something) and then go play something else while it's up. good move

You know what would be even greater? If there were just simply normal always-running premium servers with those game modes, instead of restricting them for no reason at all only to pro-started servers.

yeah, I know that would be great, but I really don't see the use of bitching about something that's very unlikely to change. we can look at this update as being an improvement or being 'not good enough'. I see the former as being more constructive.

Things can be independent of each other. We can play happily and enjoy that we get more features, and at the same time this doesn't and shouldn't stop us from noting that id software is a bunch of morons introducing artificial and useless restrictions that don't solve any problem neither for id, nor for players, and only get in the way.

GREAT JOB ID! now all we need is the ability to load custom maps onto our servers, rcon, a banlist/blacklist that can be shared with other pro users, set fraglimit/timelimit/capturelimit/roundlimit values to w/e we want on STANDARD servers, choose exactly what players can and cannot vote for on a server, and spawn more than one server simultaneously (i wonder how many more years it will take them to add these herpderp features).

i probably would be upset if i actually spent money on this worthless pos. im just appalled at how they continue to ridiculously drag things out which should have been part of the game years ago, but whats more annoying is when the fanboys still cocksuck and give them a thumbs up as if theyve actually been spending hours hard at work the entire time when in reality there was no need for this retarded restriction to begin with

A smarter move would be an anti-cheat. I'm sorry but there's really no excuse not to have it. The whole reason duel is so discouraging is because of the countless adsgsddsa accounts that hit bullshit shots and know where you are all the time, and have perfect timing.

Of course, the solution (apparently) is "buy premium", which doesn't even solve the problem.
