so it's not just me! mine doesn't crash all the time, but sometimes when I'm fastforwarding a demo it will crash. will that .txt posted by malk fix this? if so where do I place it? or, should I just get the latest version instead?

My issue was it wouldn't even launch, since updating to the latest version it works like a charm. Launches fine, no crashes during fast forwarding etc. Could it possibly be a hardware issue for you? For giggles, what's your system specs and OS?

maybe it's a hardware issue, never thought of that. I'm on a laptop so specs aren't great:

4GB RAM (512mb DDR2 dedicated video memory)
2.13ghz duo core cpu
nvidia geforce 9600m GT
