Overall it's a good mouse, if you like the shape.

the sensor is now perfect for both 800 and 1600 dpi steps after the last v61 firmware upgrade, max speeds issues are fixed, so is the lod, and it has no jitter. build quality and buttons are also superb btw and yes the cable is annoyingly stiff, but you can strip it hehe. although, it all comes down to the shape tbh, imo the mouse LOOKS like it has the perfect shape for games but when you play with it.. i don't know, its probably personal preference but for me it just doesn't feel 'right'. maybe its too short or the sensor is a bit misplaced on the bottom, but it just doesn't give me the correct feel when looking/moving up and down via the y-axis compared to left-right x-axis, which is ok.
other than that, its a great mouse, especially the build quality and the metal-rubber feel to it is light years ahead from razer plasticky gimmicks hehe.

tracking speed is fixed - it can do 4+ m/s easily (800 dpi 500hz)
LOD is fixable mechanically with tape fix, lens fix or led fix
Cable is bad but you can change/strip it
Technically it's totally good, but shape and sensor position are terrible IMHO

I have one and I'm trying to get rid of it asap. The mouse tries to be good, but fails due to the horrible Philips laser... you can't aim precisely with small movements (it's hard to explain, but it's just jerky when you aim slowly). Rest is fine, in fact it's a pretty good mouse, but that the inaccuracy is unacceptable for me.

I might be wrong, but my mouse knowledge tell me this has something to do with polling rate.

What numbers do you get in mouserate.exe on different DPI/HZ settings?

It's not an issue with the polling rate. I have tried 1000, 500 and 250Hz and the problem is still there.

Like I said, it's hard to explain accurately, you'd have to try the mouse for yourself to understand. For example, when moving the mouse very quickly left to right or up and down the sensor can't keep up and goes crazy.

In conclusion, it's simply a bad sensor.

i got myself a storm xornet btw, does the job just fine.

What mousepad do you use and what is your sens in cm/360.

fatpad and no clue what cm/360 is, i use accel. xornet is on 1000 dpi 1000hz afaik.

sensitivity 3.27; cl_mouseaccel 0.012; m_pitch 0.018; m_yaw 0.014

You are mid sens player and while this combination of mouse and pad works good for you it still doesn't guarantee it will work for low sens player.

I also bought one for testing about 6 months ago. I use w7 64 bit and teamspeak 3. never encountered that problem

still using xornet though and doing fine with it. unless anyone has an arguement as to why a spawn is better than xornet ^^

iirc sensor is different (3090 and 3050).

even if shape was awesome for my agrarian hand, i felt some ingame skipping with both xornet and spawn.
maybe you don't care about that because your sense is higher than mine.

also, did you experience LOD problems (regardless tape/lens/grandma fix)?

yeah some spawn firmwares have lod issues, i picked one with decent lod at cost of something else (forgot, was over a year ago)

apparently those community beta firmware's are pretty good, but like i mentioned im happy with my xornet so ill leave the spawn testing for a later date :)

'known error with capslock+voip+spawn mouse' that would mean the issue still isnt fixed for some people. ur lucky if u dont have any issues with it, means the mouse should be perfect in theory :D

I decided to use the spawn again and I realized that the button switches are not really responsive.
irc they are same as the ones mounted on the xornet.
what is your opinion ?

no issues with mouse1/2, i actually accidfently press them now n then because theyre kinda light to me. side buttons work fine for browsing the net and i rarely use the scroller button so icant really comment on that :)

Hi, i found the same problem, if you bind the left buttons to a keyboard shortcut and alternatively press both, it starts skipping every now and then. Fix i found was using a program called xmouse, it can only override the left buttons though not the dpi buttons.

my feeling is that it doesn't skip just only in the case you described ;)

I don't think xornet / spawn are low sens mice, maybe if you use your whole arm to move it, but not for lifting a lot
