In the second groupstage there were little surprises again. Epsilon eSports, ADK, colwn and aL all topped their group, followed by Branque!, punchLine, LDLC and Team-LDLC.com. These teams moved into a double elimination playoff stage.

In the second round of the playoffs the match everyone was waiting for took place. The Quake stars of colwn faced the Quake stars of aL. Stermy versus strenx. After three maps we had a winner. Colwn beat aL with 2:1, who were knocked down to the lower bracket. The Italian and his French comrades moved on to the upper bracket final. On the other side of the bracket Epsilon eSports had beaten ADK and Team-LDLC.com and were also in the upper bracket final. After three close games, colwn came out as strongest and moved to the grand final.

In the lower bracket final we could see ADK looking to prove a point. After beating Branque!, they were up against one of the top favorites, aL. They showed their intentions and strong form, beating aL with 2:1. In the lower bracket final they faced Epsilon eSports. Again three close maps, but ADK came out on top and continued their momentum and moved to the grand final versus colwn.

As colwn came from the grand final, it meant they started with one point ahead. The first map was Collided and the teams went head to head, but certainly colwn found grip over the match and won the map 6:3. The second map to be played was Archways. It started off close again, but as in the previous game colwn managed to sneak away the points and won it with 6:3 again, meaning they became the first SOPA Lan champions!
