Don't expect to run at 125fps on high settings if you're pc is shit. You can change graphics levels easily in the menus, you should be ok if you can run ql.

Warsow runs better than QL for me. I'm pulling this out of nowhere, but it seems Q3-ish in terms of performance.

actually u gonna need a hardcore machine to run the game on max graphics, but if you play it in lowprofile without the cellshade and bumpmap and other stuff, you can run it on a 8 year old machine very well. (i had one 2 months ago).
it uses a quake fusion engine, so 95% of the cvars the same, the rest can be figured out in the config, or ppl will gladly help on the #warsow channel on irc.

as for the too much effort, I'm pretty sure the code for accelstyle 1 was lifted from another open source project ( urt maybe ? ) so you'd have a pretty accurate reference.

yeah, I'd still have to set up the compilation environment, figure out how commands work, test the function input/output values, etc. and then i should hope it gets merged, of which I have no guarantee, otherwise I won't be able to connect to a server, aren't pure clients enforced? and at the end of the day, I might not be liking the game once I understand it more.

well then if you don't want to code it because you can't be arsed to install notepad++ and gcc, then agree with the devs that they can redistribute your work in an autodl patch I can't help you.

The game has an autoupdate system so once it's approved it's probably only a matter of hours until the servers and clients are up to date.

q3's mouseaccel has been asked since.....the game started, and it isn't included yet.

That means the devs simply don't want it in their game, just like removing weak ammo or making duel a bit more than +forward RL

Weak ammo got removed for the current beta on most servers. The cup was also played without weak ammo.

q3 accel has been in the game for ages.

it's badly implemented, at least up to 0.6 (last version I tried).

anyway that shows the devs aren't game designers and even don't know what they want. Now they are discussing removing the ammo system for the 999th time, after the cup had -1 sign ups and no one plays basewsw still even with the gameplay changes

Great tournament, great casting, great stream quality, some great games. But wtf was with that finals? I know they're probably tired after so many games, and everyone gets upset when they get ridiculously fragged, but come on. Think about the spectators. This is a huge put-off to the people watching, and without people watching, it's much harder for people to justify putting together these little events for players to win anything. Playing it out (especially the grand finals, come on) is an investment into the future of the game for the players (yourself included). Ragequitting the finals won't earn your community more cups and events with prizes.

Again, great casting/stream/matches except for the grand final.

Not mad. I'll remind you that before .6 I loved warsow far more than quake live, but the game just keeps getting worse with every update. They seem to be unable to come to a decision as to how the game should play, and are constantly changing weapon defs and other mechanics that usually end up making things worse. As it is right now, the fights in this game are so silly and random that it's laughable to try and take it seriously as a competitive game. I really do hope they can make it fun again, but I'm not holding out any hope.

that's what happens with that type of movement, small maps and overpowered rockets.
