Doom 3 BFG is out in october, i make a million dolalr bet there is a doom 3 tourney there.

I'm in. There's no way doom3 will have an official "pro" tournament.

Maybe some fatal1ty shootout or something, but that's not a tourney.

They never have a pro tourney. They just have tourneys that pros enter and clean up.

I'm simply saying it will probably be one of the tournament games (with prize money) as its due out 3 months after and will probably be some free PR for them.

What I meant was a BYOC tournament doesn't count. It'd be like saying 2011 Quakecon had a cpm tournament, which was on the BYOC area but wasn't "official" by any means.

We are talking about id software. And it'd be weird having 2 QL tournaments (duel and ctf) and a doom3 one at the same time.

Of course BYOC does not.

I'm saying i bet idsoftware put money up and have doom 3 BFG tourney as one of the games.

I'm saying they won't. It's always a good measure to delimit a betting.
