How to play back Q2 demos
This match was for the #1 spot in the www.liga.net tourney. The liga.net tourney was probably the biggest online tourney ever. It was run by Kimble and had an american ladder and a european ladder. Kuin, the #1 Canadian player and future PGL season 4 winner, took immortal's #1 spot a week or so before in a laggy affair. In this rematch both players are pinging over 100 ms, but immortal gets his revenge. This demo is a good example of how players used to talk to each other during tourney matches, something I wish todays players would do more of to make their games more interesting.

I never really figured immortal out, he can't do any jump and he hardly ever strafes and yet he owns the best q2 players of that time with ease.
I know when I saw his demo's for the first time I was pretty amazed by his (rail) aim, but even that looks nothing special nowadays. Oh well...
