yeah it's similar to alot of things I already have

when you see an obnoxius 40-something american bitch agressively ranting about how revolutionary/cool/awesome their stuff is (a marketing shark i suppose? too bad shes like a tupperware agent) you know its not worth your purchase

Dont be so judgemental on looks, it might come back at you some point in your life and it wont feel good. Admitted she is a marketing shark but people who are making this thing do deserve some credit. The real guy behind this, Yves Bahar is not a joke.

Its a great and philanthropic effort but

1) hardware probably wont be able to run mainstream console games

2) Mainstream developers wont be developing for this thing because studios don't like this sort of stuff.

(1)+(2) => (3) As a result it will be a platform exactly like existing google tv products (same all streaming services, netflix, pandora, twitch tv etc apps) with a console input device with nothing other than few indie games.

There is a definitely a section of population who wants to play angry birds and minecraft on their TV for free all day long but might not in enough numbers to sustain this effort long enough so that it gets mainstream traction.

I would be happy to be proven wrong but it will either plain die or get acquired by google or some other giant in near future.
