I'm appalled by the general lack of taste the russian community shows in terms of moviemaking. Plus there's barely any effort in making that vid, just stringing vods and stolen footage to music...

I'm happy I didn't participate in that rigged as fuck contest

The winning movie is a fucking joke, what the hell happened to frag movies full of action? Be it CS or Quake - I just want to see a GOOD movie, not some crappy emotional "esports life" gay ass videos.

i actually liked the emotional touch the other fragmovies werent that great. a legit win for me

the first video is no longer available due to a music copy right claim, so I didn't get to watch it :|

the 'Work' quake video was good and even though I don't play counterstrike, the cs vids were entertaining
oh, and the other quake videos which didn't win were all good, too

this isnt coz i dont like CS,i played it alot (for fun) in past,but i repeat,watching ppl shooting in the smoke isnt interesting and there is a big percentage of luck

"Best in town" is a bit more charismatic than "Work" , so i see nothing wrong with the results. Both videos are quality with dense production. Correct result IMHO

Yeah, I kind of expected the results.

The winning movie isn't anything spectacular editing wise, but it captures the viewers attention and emotions better than any frag movie can. The viewers are connected to it because...more than likely they're all gamers. It's simple but cleanly edited.

The second is definitely more upbeat and a more 'fun' type of movie compared to mine. Again, nothing spectacular, it's all about the execution though. I can see why someone would view it as superior...It had a lot of very well timed fine details and a lot of well timed editing cuts. I enjoyed it myself.

I don't know if the comments on the Russian site for the competition were counted as votes, but the winner and the runner up were in the majority of them. Too bad no one made an esr post about it to give the Quake movies some support. Props to the winners though, they did good work.

Also, shout outs to Lunokhod's movie, "We Move", and santile's "Velada". Both really good.

first video was just boring, footage downloaded off youtube, nothing special
second was unbelievably half assed, no flow, was pretty crap overall

I'm really disappointed. I don't know who was in the jury, but their choices are weird.

I've seen real efforts only in the 3rd and the 4th.
Nothing special in the 2nd, and nothing at all in the 1rst.

i can see why the first one won, as i suppose its kinda different and suits the sponsor etc, but entik's movie was glorious. great music and syncing - as soon as it started i really got a buzz...

the 2nd place movie is like something off a 13yr olds youtube page...
