Yeah, things like that, one of the main things is connecting up the switches and scroll wheel from the Xornet PCB to the new PCB, The kinzuadder is probably the best way to do it, if you can do it like that then its not such a big deal. You can solder wires to the bottom of the Xornet switches, after cutting the PCB to shape, then you have to find a PCB small enough to go next to it, and it should be like the deathadder PCB where it already uses two seperate PCBs for the scroll wheel and main switches, otherwise its really hard to connect them up.

The sensor placement isn't too much of an issue as long as the PCB is the right size, you can just cut a hole in the bottom of the mouse wherever the sensor ends up.

But yeah its really just the PCB size and type which is the biggest problem.

In fact, xornet shape is so small that da3.5g electronics won't fit (moreover, scroll wheel would be uncentered).

if you used mouse buttons for ptt, driver went nuts and increased cpu usage -> fps drop.
