regarding the duels... I don't think there is that much more that hasn't been discussed already. id fucked up big time by removing the ability to vote freely, coupled with the most retarded mappools ever, made even worse by the lack of ztn....
and reverting any one of these three changes will put the numbers back up to where they were, with the reintroduction of ztn probably being more effective than the other two combined, although personally I would like them to just fix the retarded mappools if they don't want to allow free voting again.
"The duel queue will be addressed in our next update." (c) SyncError
The word "addressed" in that sentence makes me puke though... Like they need to crack the f*cking Da Vinci Code here. Messing up the duel queue, and removing ztn was a major fuckup.
The update was on july 24th, not 21th. Practically the same amount of duel matches.
Secondly, qlranks always display the last days badly. Look at the same graph in 2 more days and you'll see that "somehow" august 12th and onwards have twice more matches than your photo
And finally, sync already said they are fixing duel queue next patch. Hopefully they also improve map voting on it too, by removing lots of unnecessary maps on that gametype (no one duels on quarantine) and removing the end-game voting on premium servers.
firstly, qlranks doesn't display anything badly. people !update irregularly, retard. if you understand that concept, you can understand that there are some games that haven't been logged since before the 24th, due to people not requesting for qlranks scrape their stats.
secondly, the graph shows an obvious negative trend to anybody who isn't a total moron, idiot.
thirdly, if stinkhair's promises are as disturbingly inaccurate as your ignorant-yet-cutely-innocent drivel, prepare yourself for disappointment, but you're probably safe. it's not as though quakelive has a demonstrable history of failing its established audiences, nor has quakelive ever followed up years of strangling the lifeblood from the game and its community with an update that effectively ruins the experiences of an entire subset of its users.
the fact that the universe is currently in a state to allow people so stupid as yourself to propagate such misinformation is perplexing. the fact that there are people who are stupid enough to trust and value anything you say is disheartening.
on the tech note carmack said quake live seems healthy now that they did that change and that the project "probably" can continue (or something like that), therefore hinting it was absolutely necessary.
