The problem was we couldn't have a cup without admin(s) and i said we're trying to do CTF cup as well way before HoQ opened..it just took a bit longer with the recruitment process than expected.

CB cenix contacted me way back on the 19th of August to find out what HoQ were planning to do this season. I told him we were planning to wait until Winter (probably January) before restarting our usual CTF/TDM leagues. He then revealed that CB would not be running CTF this autumn, leaving the door open for us to do it instead.

Rather than launching CTF straight away I waited for CB to announce their Fall seasons in order to avoid a conflicting schedule, and only when it seemed definite that CTF would not be included did we start organizing HoQ CTF.

I also announced that HoQ CTF signups would open this past Sunday in the CB Fall Signups ESR thread. That was before you then announced in that same thread that CB would be doing CTF anyway.

It goes without saying that I hope you are correct.

Nevertheless I'm still concerned that CTF teams which can only play a couple of nights a week (which looks to be the case for quite a few of them) may have to choose one league to play in over the other, and right now there aren't that many teams to begin with. Fewer teams in a league means less competitive games in that league, which is why I think this situation was one that should have been avoided.

There was a candidate for CTF Supervisor few days before the official announcement (almost a week before the news item on ESR was posted).

Tbh, i didn't know cenix talked with you prior to the announcement and told you that we wouldn't do CTF cup. Thats why i found it quite weird that you were advertising upcoming HoQ CTF in CB fall thread.

I hope you guys try and make this work a long side the HoQ league. Would be a shame to see both suffer because of competition between hosts.

was fun tho, reason to not do ctf from start was "lack of admins", while there was no way to apply on site for one, or was there any notice on site.

then the same lack of admins manage to run 2 tdm and 2 insta leagues.

meanwhile in kuh3 channel, some cb admins say that there's no ctf cause 2 admins voted/decided against it.

I'll try to explain as best as i can without giving out too much internal information on what happened..

Ok, so, cups department notifies Game Supervisors that they need to request cups until _some_specific_date_. QL Game Supervisor did not request any cups on the day of the deadline. That was when i stepped in and started spamming Supervisors (that were available on that day). We managed to get together enough people for 4 cups without overextending the work force (there are rules on how many cups a supervisor can do), hence why there weren't more. The game modes of the requested cups were based on what each supervisor had experience with. With Q50 declining there was basically no one left for CTF (which had quite high drop rate in div1 as well might i add).
Game Supervisor eventually showed up and said that he will try to recruit more Supervisors.. to run more cups of course.

Ah, i've misread it.
There was no vote. thats not how it works. Game Supervisor decides on which cups he wants to run. Since he wasn't available and there was basically _PANIC MODE_ due to deadline the decision on which cups to request was made as written above... there was no conspiracy against CTF.
