This. That way, your graphic card will scale and output the 800x600 to the monitor's native resolution. I've been using this like forever.

doesn't work for me (gtx 460 + 2410t), i'm somehow unable to get 120hz with gpu scaling. i could use the monitors scaling, available through the osd btw, but i kinda enjoy 1080p quake :p

edit: i can also get 800x600x120 when i define the resolution in the "drivers" (xorg.conf), you probably have to do similar in win.

Set on full HD but play with 800x600. From there the screen can simulate (17", 19", custom etc).

I don't use drivers on mine.

EDIT: Have you checked "r_displayRefresh" cvar (assuming you play quake). It should be "0" to make it fit your screen settings or 120 to force it.

i get 120hz on every res from 1440x900 and under, im at win7 however

Installed Windows 7. Works perfectly on all resolutions (up to 1080p) at 120hz. Seems it wouldn't work on XP after all! :) Hopefully this thread might help other people that want to use this monitor on XP anyway.

Windows update has the lastest drivers just enable it. If you cant reach 120 hz make sure yuour gfx card drivers are update and that your cable is the correct one. If you are using dvi, make sure its dvi-d cable. One comes with the monitor (or 2 cant remember).

you can set 4:3 in the monitor osd btw.

menu: picture advanced: display mode: 17" or 19" 4:3 (not W obviously).

Learn it then. I used to have to take weeks to change keybinds. Now I get used to it after 5 mins.
