Cool idea and probably a useful transportation device, but personally I wouldn't wanted to be observed with that thing between my legs. It's written hipster all over it.

Like the previous thread about gyroscopic vehicles, I'm baffled about the target audience.

First off, you need 3500€ - so students are mainly out of the question.
Wealthy people would look just silly on them, because it has that aggressive bike look.

I'm also not sure about the gear.
I know wearing a helmet is advised even if you're riding a a segway (certainly not fullface, but anyway)
The only potential buyer I see is a wealthy student or just some gyroscope enthusiast.

also, if you zoom in on this picture, you can see the front dashboard scratched at least 4 times, like someone had a nasty fall with it.

It's just a cool gadged. Bicycle is better in every aspect (unless you can't ride it for health reasons). Like someone said - Progress should have stopped when man invented the bicycle.

Of all the devices in these posts, it does look the most fun, is probably the cheapest (at around $1800), and with some of the prototypes reaching over 20mph, they can be decently nippy too.

I imagine over-volting the motors on this would result in quite a lot of fun!

As with all the other, its just a fun gadget with no real practical use; although this one does come the closest in terms of it. If you live in an area with lots of smooth paveways and have lots of walking to do yet can't be bothered to get a driving test then this may be for you :P

Interesting indeed - but it looks VERY uncomfortable if I imagine riding it for... let's say more than a minute.
Imagine the pain the legs after balancing yourself (not balancing the vehicle) on this two pieces

The first vid clearly shows the guy having a hard time maintaining balance (hovering around with his hands like a bird) - plus, he constantly bumps into people :p

At least it has Li-ion batteries.

the bike's cornering looks like shit, notice how he always stands upright in slightly higher speed curves and the one time he doesn't he immediately has to put his foot down.
