add some shadows to where the water meets the floor - right now its just 2 2D textures hitting each other while the water is transparent and should alow you to see the stones from the sides in a vague way.
also im not a fan of that blue rocket lightningball

That's supernova went wrong, tried to do a water sphere that reflects blue light - fixed it up a bit, made the water a bit more realistic.

You should probably consider it like real photography and focus more on composition, lighting and image quality rather than mediocre photoshop filters.
And in my opinion it's rather pointless to take these kind of shots without AA/AF since it will never be good shots when you can see so much aliasing.
I would also recommand to work in widescreen format since that's what most people are using nowadays.

well i'll go out on a limb(which I'm sure someone will promptly saw off) and say this: many players sink an enormous amount of time IN these small "map-worlds" playing, fragging, jumping, etc. When someone freezes and focuses a moment from that time, then transforms it into a kind of separate art...well isn't that the job of art? To render the familiar in a wholly fresh, novel way?

I do mostly play around with iWarp, lens/gradient flare, different lightning setting, motion blur, colorizing etc, I'm always trying new techniques and experimenting though.

pls make some pictures without playermodels and items (if possible), so just the map itself. kind of like the map shots at the loading screen when connecting to a server, just different perspective with enchanced colors, better resolution etc. one from the main area of dm13 would be pretty cool. or smth from aero. pillars on t7 etc... thanks if u make it =)

its not that they are new I just find the scenery in both those maps to be nice looking! =) Oh also windsong keep is rather aesthetically pleasing too. I'll suggest FOCAL POINT also as it has a unique look to it :)
