at least not via drivers... I've uninstalled the driver trying to eliminate mouse prediction (which is amazingly strong) and actually i got rid of accel.
my kinzu got some heavy accel with the driver on, and absolutely NO accel without it.

no, you can not disable the "accel" they speak off. it's actually positive accel which is a result of poor tracking starting at certain speeds.

it's like the negative accel the wmo has (and lots and lots of other mice), just the other way around. it isn't a fixed accel and can not be used similar to cl_mouseaccel, hence making the original comment sound like uninformed bs.

no, it's not :) read the esr mousescore, you will understand. it's pretty simple, every sensor is going to malfunction at a certain speed and not going to be able to represent your hands movement anymore.

the malfunction speed is pretty low in wmo's case (slowing you down: neg accel) and a little higher with the xai (which is then starting to accelerate). people like bst with his mouseproject are trying to achieve much higher malfunction speeds, others are not so bothered by this.

Ive never played (tried) another mouse than wmo 1.1a since I switched from a shittycrap lowcost mouse in 20010 when Derfel sent me one of those wmo1.1a's. Never looked back and never felt the need to change since then.

0.1 to get your mouse going for bigger turns and still have good almost unaccelerated sensitivity when tracking

0.2 or more to have low sens to track nicely when you can't aim well naturally (it kinda shafts for you)

After years of accel i switched to regular . My aim actually went up by 3-5 LG percent. Placebo or what, I was the biggest advocate of accel until i started feeling like it's just never stable enough

Why is it only Quake games and maybe UT that allows players to change their mouse accel to whatever value they want and not all these new FPS Games? Just because of this I almost never play any other FPS Games because I cant change it x(

Hell no. His rockets are pretty good for public servers, but between the pros, he has the worst rockets. But why would you need rockets when you hit 40%lg?

This. Strenx rockets are the worst amoung the pros(and a lot of semipros). He hit good@pubs mainly because of the skill gap/better possition/suprise atack, etc.

I'd say the worst thing about his skill set is his attitude. If you want to examine it closely strenx has a higher RL accuracy on his profile than Rapha, Cypher and Cooller, granted he uses it less often than they do. I will agree that other pros have a higher caliber RL aim, but compared to your everyday pub players I think it's excellent.

Accel is cool, but definitely not for me. Stermy doesn't use accel either, ischju.

I've had two wmo1.1a's in my ql career now and I never had a problem with random scrolls :/

Been using wmo for many years now, never had any problems with the scroll.

Neither do mine WMOs.

The scroll never broke for my WMO and I had that for a stupidly long time, but the mouse3 gave up working after a while (probably because it is my push to talk button!) Scrolling never stopped working though :P

This just happened to my WMO. Mouse3 stopped working, it was my dropweapon bind. :S

Scroll still good, but like this mouse is just 4 months old.

I think the scroll started to get a bit shaky near the end of me using it but still hasn't totally stopped for me! :)

I've used ~12 different WMOs

From my experience, at least 5 of them had some sort of scrolling issues.

The white ones were more prominent to have those.

12 is a ridiculously small scale though.

Perhaps it's because you lay your middle finger on the scrollwheel while playing, do you? I keep it on mouse2 and scroll works perfect (mwheelup = lg, mwheeldown = rl)

Scroll was fine on all mine wmos/imos. All died by cable failure.

I think most pro's have had periods of not using accel. I know dahang, stermy, and fox all had configs with no accel in them at one point or another...It's all just personal preference. It seems like the heavy aimers don't use accel, I would be curious to see how rapha/cypher performed with 0 accel (insta aim rape?) :o
