Why is the demo file rar.exe ???

Trying to install malware?

The demo link downloads this file: Duel DEMOS.rar.exe

Virustotal detected a bunch of crap inside this file:
- Adware.Downware.448
- Win32/InstallMate
- W32/InstallMate.A2.gen!Eldorado
- InstallRex
- Trojan.Win32.Generic!BT

Just downloaded it and it's a rar file.

Dunno what you have downloaded...

Don't see what I could do differently:

I click on the link "download" in this article, it shows me a page with a huge "download" button, I click on that button and it gives me that file...

So then I tried it again and then it shows me a different page; with a link: "Click here to start download from sendspace" and that just gives me the rar file. I'm not making this up. There is (or was) something funny going on on that download page.

Google "sendspace virus". Be wary.

Try unchecking the "Download with Sendspace Manager" or something like that. I didn't try with it checked but my internet senses tingled when I saw it. The download prompt really showed a rar with that unchecked though.
