I just got back and I gotta say, meh....

I am also a bond fan, but it was a bit too odd, yeah lots of cool references like scaramangas fun house in the sniper scene, but the fact that they needed to make so many refs to the old films in IMO proof that this film is indeed quite weak on its own merit.

And I am sorry but the ending was straight out of home alone.
I was half expecting the old man to clonk the villan over the head with a snow shovel. I thought initially the villan was Ms mother, but I over analyzed. He was just your run of the mill genius gay psychopath. I liked the trollinghacking bit though. But no one is that smart.

I let rip a silent but violent on the way out of the cinema and made everyone breath in my gas as a homeage to goldfinger.

I will answer more questions if anyone wants to know my opinion on specifics. Go and see it by all means, but you were warned. Its a mixed bag.

A BLACK miss money penny who the last time I saw her was covered in blood and hacking zombies to death in 28 days later. How can you ever smile at the chemistry between bond and her again. All the time Im gonna be thinking, yeah you killed zombies in the other film.
Its sad.

Its almost as if someone in tele is determined to give blacksasian people key roles no matter how unsuitable they are as some kind of ethnic policy cos for some reason in the UK we are supposed to feel guilty about something. For what, most of the immigrants that came here would still be living in poverty if it were not for us. Oh but hey, us british raped the world a few hundred years ago right and now we are just getting paid back, heeeee hoooo!

So for me my mind wont change, I think bond as we know it is going to become more like one of those cheap spin offs.

What made bond was the elite british "mostly english" and Im welsh high class thing is had going on, the second you start replacing key actors with blacks from zombie films its game over. Its not that they used a black, its that I know they used a black BECUASE she was black, which is almost as racist for the opposite reason.

Oh and its not racist assholes, if I see a film and the role is in congo and the character is a witch doctor, I dont want to see a white chemist from cambridge. I wanna see a black guy just as they did with Baraon Samedi in live and let die.

Its that stereotype that made bond special. I am half expecting a half cast jameds bond next, just to so we can say hey, hes not white, black or brown, he is all 3!

its just crap and I wont fall for it. Luckily there are enough real bond bond films to last a life time.

Cubby Broc made bond special, when he died they slowly changed and I think this film was nothing more than a billboard for how the next films will go.

Still be worth a watch, but not what they were...

The action scenes weren't very interesting, and the plot felt rushed throughout, they tried to cram too many things in and half assed on everything from bond's failing the test to whatever Javier was trying to accomplish.
