same cpu, coolermaster evo 212+, full load temp is 48c stock clocked. seems a little high to push the cpu so havent tried yet.

those direct heap pipe contact coolers need much more TIM than usual, due to the gaps...

4Ghz should be pretty easy with that cooler and cpu. Is your 965 140 or 125w?

edit: what motherboard, psu and ram are you using?

just set up de multi @ 20X
cpu volts @ 1.365;
Cpu-Nb volts @ 1.175; NB speed @ 2600MHz; Cpu vdda one notch up from stock, should be around 2.51V

Set the memory on unganged and command rate 1T @ 1333MHz and on appropriate timmings; dont bother with 1600MHz (0% performance improvement)

Disable cpu and pci spread spectrum, and power saving features that your board might have.

you should be good to go.
if the system crashes with black screen increase the cpu volts up a notch or reduce the multi. if crashes with bsod increase CPu-Nb volts or redude nb speed to 2400MHz..

1600 mhz ram means you can overclock more then 1333 mhz ram and have less cooling with less volts

phenoms don't take advantage of more than 1333MHz because that is when the internal memory controller of the cpu saturates. i would suggest trying to low the timings to smth like 7 7 7 24 16 and work on lowering the TRFC0 TRFC1 and TREF. This would get you more performance than 1600MHz. I wouldn't touch the bus speed. Trust me, i have been playing with phenoms since 2009 ))

the evo hangs out off the board, the gemini fans blows down onto the cpu through the pipes

the fsb is 4000 mhz and the chipset can do upto 5200mt/s, there shoul be 3600 mhz ram for value ram
