I remember in early 2009 the quakelive developers promised to my clan leader who then relayed back to his clan that they were intending to put these features in the game. At least the map overlay bit.

The kind of stuff Valve was patching into their games in 2001, we're waiting for id to do the same in 2012 -_-

Ingame VOIP options would be so nice for pickups also... fuck
