I am most certainly retarded! I did not realize gamers playing entertaining games a lot were so entertaining to watch! They of course on par with olympic sports, working just as hard, and just as demanded by the society as hollywood movies! Are you just playing devil's advocate here? Your argument seems to lack any realization of the history of sports. Michael Jordan made ~4 million dollars a year until his 2nd to last year with the Bulls. Now a max contract is somewhere in the 25million dollar range.

You can't just let stupid shit happen, or else the companies will continue to fuck the gamers. The gamers are good at the games that they play, and there are people who want to watch them. Pretty simple. That doesn't mean that the hosting company is allowed to reap all of the benefits from the hard work that the gamers put in.

Spectators want to watch the absolute best players. It's entertainment. They don't tune in to watch a company run an event.
