Hi I need some help in picking out a mouse to hold me over until the Ninox mice from bst are released. I am currently using a DeathAdder Black with hyperglides and scotch tape over the lens by the cord is fraying and the copper is exposed (covered with electrical tape). Before that I used Logitech ball mice and then Intellimice 1.1 until the Deathadder. My grip is sort of a hybrid palm/claw with the middle finger clawed over the scroll wheel in some games but I am generally okay with both small and large mice. I exclusively use 400 to 500 DPI at 7/11 1:1 tracking. Options are:
Logitech g400:
- easily available
- a bit heavy and I am worried this lags at 400 CPI as it is halved from the native 800. Is this the case?
Abyssus or a new Deathadder
- can buy at any shop
- Cheapest option but it might jitter and I would need to get new mousefeet and do the scotch tape mod.
Zowie AM (GS)
- similar to 1.1
- Might be too thin for me to comfortably hold and I can't test it out in a store near me.
- Does this jitter at 450 dpi?
Zowie EC1(2) evo:
- similar shape to deathadder but about 10 grams less so I wouldn't have to readjust
- can't test out at a shop though
- What's the difference between models 1 and 2? Which weighs less?
MS Intellimouse 1.1
- would need new mousefeet just like the Razor mice.
- relatively low perfect control speed of 1.5 m/s at 250+ Hz
I am thinking one of the Zowie EC series as I don't want to have to deal with buying hyperglides again.
