what does he think changed over the last year, that he was able to grow to this high level? In q3 he was very good of course, but he never really made it far into big european tournaments.

Well, you russian, its obviously you acting like this. But you understood everything evil said, and all english speakers understood aswell, everyone happy, but only russians acting. Sometimes I missed something evil told, but that were just small details, and we didnt have time for everything. All important and main sentences were translated. Its naturally english speakers want to have ideal translate, so I understand that. But you, its pure russian nature.

I think you did a good job, and here is my 2 cents in terms of what to improve, or consider:

If you look at professional translators, they work as if they were transparent, i.e. they make it sound like a dialogue between one person speaking language A and the other speaking language B.

This is very hard, and requires excellent skills in both A and B. There are of course specific languages tricks to do that, as one is forced to do some interpretation/changes, but ideally the audience should not perceive the person who is translating other than from his voice. Top notch translation even works with low delay (they start translating as the other guy is still talking), but requires some volume adjustment and stuff.

To me your work was fine, and Lo3 has anyways this home-chat feeling so it was even funny to hear you and Evil almost discussing things without a clue of what you were saying, but I can see where the critiques come from.

As in everything, practice will bring you there :)

Edit: even professional translator do not get 100% through. I always find it funny when I can understand both the actual response and the translated one.

I wrote what I wrote only coz I saw your previous interview interpretation and you did it quite badly and what I disliked the most is that you put you own opinion into the translation and any interpreter doesn't have any rights to speak for another person, he must only translate. It's like when a photographer puts some flowers to your photo just coz he thinks it's right.
And what I see from your answers, you think you've done perfect job and argue in comments (it was also the question about the best memories...) etc.
And you know what? Firebot did an awesome job with his interview interpretation a little while ago, so there's something to compare with. I doubt he's a professional interpreter. And he wasn't posting everywhere so proud of himself.

the language barrier is just too strong, especially when not so intelligent people are involved. weak interview and answer-evaluation by slasher and wheat. let me interview evil, or anyone for that matter, would be $$$. and how the fuck does someone young and with pro-gaming history fail to appropriate english to this day?
